EARLY NOTICE AND PUBLIC REVIEW OF A PROPOSED ACTIVITY IN A 100-YEAR FLOODPLAIN
This is to give notice that the Sonoma County Community Development Commission (Commission) has determined that the following proposed action under consideration is located in the 100-year floodplain. The Commission will be identifying and evaluating practicable alternatives to locating the action in the floodplain, as well as potential impacts on the floodplain from the proposed action. This is required by Executive Order 11988, in accordance with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) regulations at 24 CFR 55.20 Subpart C Procedures for Making Determinations on Floodplain Management. Public Hearing Notice – Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing (AFFH) - February 8 through March 11, 2024
A draft of the Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing (AFFH) assessment, formerly known as the Assessment of Fair Housing, for the participating jurisdiction of Sonoma County is now available for public review. National Environmental Policy Act Environmental Review – Public Notice for Steelhead Beach Park Project - Removal of Accessibility Barriers
On or about November 20, 2023, the Sonoma County Community Development Commission will submit a request to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for the release of $75,000 in Community Development Block Grants/Entitlement Grants funds as authorized by the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, Title I, Public Law 93-383, 88 Stat. 633, 42 U.S.C. 5301- 5321, as amended, to undertake a project known as Steelhead Beach ADA project for the purpose of providing Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) access to public facility Steelhead Beach Regional Park.
