RFP Environmental Site Remediation Work Plan
The Department of Health Services is seeking proposals from qualified contractors to develop a comprehensive Site Remediation Work Plan for property located in Sonoma County. The purpose of a work plan is to address environmental contamination issues and ensure the safe and sustainable redevelopment of the site. The current project is known as the Liberty Road Property (APN 021-121-016), located at 1196, 1150, 1122 and 1080 Liberty Road in Petaluma. The primary objective of this project is to develop a detailed Site Remediation Work Plan that outlines the steps and methodologies required to remediate environmental contamination on the project site. Probation Staff Raised Money to Support Local Breast Cancer Patients
Today, we had the privilege of presenting a donation of $740.00 to Executive Director Kent Corley, from North Bay Cancer Alliance following our Sonoma County Probation Pink Patch fundraiser in October. These funds will go towards NBCA's mission of providing critical financial support to breast cancer patients and their families. Cancer patients receive help with transportation costs, lodging, co-pays, grocery cards, or any other essential needs. Read full story
Probation staff participated in the Trunk-or-Treat Event on Monday, October 21, 2024
Thank you to everyone who came and celebrated Trunk-or-Treat with us this year! More than 500 cars and 1,500 trick-or-treaters turned out for this fun drive-thru experience. Probation staff dressed as “Mario Kart” characters who were adored by the community while they enjoyed a safe place to Trick-or-Treat from the trunks of vehicles. Even the Supervised Work Crew dump truck was transformed into the Piranha Plant which the kids loved. Read full story
Notice of Public Hearing: Fiscal Year 2025-2026 Funding Policies
The Sonoma County Community Development Committee and the Cities and Towns Advisory Committee will hold concurrent public hearings to review proposed revisions to Fiscal Year 2025-2026 Funding Policies for federal funding sources such as the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME), Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG), and Low Moderate Income Housing Asset Fund (LMIHAF) programs.
