Request for Proposals (RFP) for Project Based Vouchers (PBV) for existing housing

The Sonoma County Community Development Commission, in its capacity as the Sonoma County Housing Authority, has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Project Based Vouchers (PBV) for existing housing. Only existing housing that will meet Housing Quality Standards within 45 days of award are eligible for consideration under this RFP. Read full story

FY 2022 CoC Renewal Evaluations: Rating & Ranking Process for the 2021 Continuum of Care Competition

The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) requires that local CoC’s prioritize all renewal and new projects submitted in our consolidated application. As in past years, project priorities will be generated by a scoring system, site visits and interviews by the CoC Competition Evaluation Committee, made up of impartial members of the Sonoma County Continuum of Care Board and community partners. Annual PHA Plan for FY 2022-2023 Public Hearing

The Sonoma County Community Development Committee, in its capacity as the governing body of the Sonoma County Housing Authority, will hold a public hearing on March 16, 2022 at 10:00 am to review the Annual PHA Plan for FY 2022-2023 for the Sonoma County Housing Authority.  The Committee will hear testimony from all interested parties. Request for Proposals (RFP) for Project-Based Vouchers (PBV)

The Commission is issuing this Request for Proposals (RFP) seeking proposals from owners and/or developers for Project-Based Vouchers (PBV) available under the Department of Housing and Urban Development Housing Choice Voucher program. Up to 200 Project Based Vouchers are available under this RFP. Proposed units must be within the jurisdiction of the Sonoma County Housing Authority. The Commission intends to award Project Based Vouchers to more than one Respondent. Existing units, substantial rehabilitation projects, and new construction projects are all eligible for consideration.  Applications for existing studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom units which will be used as Homeless-Dedicated, Permanent Supportive Housing units will be prioritized.View request for proposalAmendment No. 1 to RFP Read full story

Sonoma CountyContinuum of Care (CoC) Board 2022 Elections

The Sonoma County CoC Board is the decision-making body of the Sonoma County Continuum of Care. The Sonoma County Continuum of Care addresses the problems of housing and homelessness by having a countywide, community-informed, and person-centered CoC system that is compassionate, inclusive, financially responsible, equitable, coordinated, and outcomes based. Nominations are hereby invited for five (5) seats to be chosen by eligible CoC voters at the CoC Quarterly Membership meeting on March 2, 2022 at 1:00pm – 4:00pm. Nominations and Statement of Interest forms will be accepted until February 23rd at 5:00pm.
