The Sonoma County Community Development Commission has prepared a draft Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) for projects funded and completed during the FY 21-22 reporting period. This report highlights the accomplishments of the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), the Emergency Solutions Grants (ESG) and HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) Programs and is available for review.
The Sonoma County Community Development Commission (Commission) is now accepting applications for prior year and current fiscal year 2022 funds for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnership Program (HOME), HOME Community Housing Development Organization (HOME-CHDO), CDBG Cares Act (CDBG-CV), and Low and Moderate Income Housing Asset Fund (LMIHAF) for eligible capital projects, affordable housing projects, tenant based rental assistance, supportive services, rapid rehousing, homeless support services, fair housing, non-congregate shelter, and economic development activities.

The Sonoma County Continuum of Care addresses the problems of housing and homelessness by having a countywide, community-informed, and person-centered CoC system that is compassionate, inclusive, financially responsible, equitable, coordinated, and outcomes based.
The Sonoma County Community Development Commission, in its capacity as the Sonoma County Housing Authority, has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Housing Location Software. The selected developer will provide the Commission with a software platform to assist local service providers and recipients of rental assistance to easily identify available units that meet their needs.
The Sonoma County Community Development Commission, in its capacity as the Sonoma County Housing Authority, has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Project Based Vouchers (PBV) for existing housing. Only existing housing that will meet Housing Quality Standards within 45 days of award are eligible for consideration under this RFP.
FY 2022 CoC Renewal Evaluations: Rating & Ranking Process for the 2021 Continuum of Care Competition
The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) requires that local CoC’s prioritize all renewal and new projects submitted in our consolidated application. As in past years, project priorities will be generated by a scoring system, site visits and interviews by the CoC Competition Evaluation Committee, made up of impartial members of the Sonoma County Continuum of Care Board and community partners. The evaluation Committee will be considered a committee of the CoC, and all documents will be published and noticed publicly.
