On Tuesday, August 20, 2019, the Department of Agriculture/Weights & Measures will present the 2018 Agricultural Crop Report to the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors during the Board of Supervisors Meeting.
What is the Crop Report
The Crop Report documents the value of all our agricultural crops and is prepared pursuant to Food and Agricultural Code section 2279.
This report reflects the gross production values, not the net income of costs of production and marketing.
The Board of Supervisors meeting begins at 8:30 a.m. The presentation is scheduled for 9:00 a.m.
The reported total value for 2018 Sonoma County Crop Report was over $1.1 billion. This is the first time in history that the gross value of agricultural commodities produced in the County has exceeded one billion dollars and represents the largest winegrape harvest ever.
This Crop Report honors Sonoma County dairies, highlighting the history and evolution of the dairy industry over the years. The Sonoma County Crop Report showcases our county’s agricultural bounty and is something of which we can all be proud. Come out and help us recognize our county’s agricultural production and first year of gross production exceeding one billion dollars!
