The Registrar of Voters Office is a division of the County Clerk-Recorder-Assessor’s Department, under the direction of an elected County Clerk. The Registrar of Voters Office performs a range of election-related duties, in addition to other public services that increase citizen participation and education

Public Input on Election Administration Plan Requested!

As a part of the implementation of the  Voter's Choice Act election model in Sonoma County, the Sonoma County Registrar of Voters Office has prepared a draft  Election Administration Plan in coordination with community members.

We want to hear your comments, questions, concerns, suggestions, etc.!  The period to submit feedback on the Plan is from July 8, 2021 to July 23, 2021.  Please send us your input by emailing  rov-info@sonoma-county.org or calling (707) 565-3811.

September 14, 2021 California Gubernatorial Recall Election Information

All Sonoma County voters will have two recall contests on the ballot for the September 14, 2021, California Gubernatorial Recall Election: Governor (Gavin Newsom) and District Attorney (Jill Ravitch)

In addition, Sonoma County voters who reside in the City of Rohnert Park will have one referendum measure on the ballot asking if an ordinance banning the sale and use of fireworks in the City should be adopted.
