Registrar of Voters Announces November 30 Deadline for Voters to “Cure” Ballot Signature Issues from November General Election
Sonoma County Registrar of Voters (ROV) Deva Marie Proto is alerting Sonoma County voters who participated in the November 2022 General Election and were notified that their ballots were challenged due to missing or mismatched signatures that their ballots will likely not be counted unless the ROV Office receives the appropriate signature “cure” forms by 5 p.m. Pacific Time (PT) on November 30.
The Sonoma County Registrar of Voters Office will begin the steps needed to conduct a 1% manual tally as a check of the ballot counting equipment on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at 9:00 a.m. at the Registrar of Voters Office, 435 Fiscal Dr., Santa Rosa.
Beginning Saturday, registered voters in Sonoma County who have not already voted in the Nov. 8 general election, may vote early in person at one of 31 vote centers located throughout the county. In-person voting has been available since Oct. 29 at seven vote centers, and an additional 24 vote centers will open this weekend.
In accordance with state law, all active registered voters in Sonoma County have been mailed vote-by-mail ballots for the November 8, 2022, General Election.

Candidate nominations for select school, city, and special district offices have been extended to Wednesday, Aug. 17, for any qualified person, except the incumbent(s), because one or more of the incumbents did not file.
