We are accepting comments through June 6, 2023. You can call us, email us, visit us in person, or attend one of four upcoming meetings we are holding on the subject in the coming weeks.

Introduction

California Elections Code Section 4005(a)(10)(G) requires each county that has newly transitioned to the Voter's Choice Act (VCA) election model to consider revisions to its Election Administration Plan (EAP) within two years. (What is the Voter's Choice Act? Find out more here!) Part of this process includes holding public meetings and soliciting comments, suggestions, and questions from community members.

Sonoma County began conducting elections under the VCA election model last year (2022). Based on this experience, the Registrar of Voters (ROV) has made certain changes to its EAP and is seeking input from the public through June 6, 2023.

The revised EAP can be downloaded and viewed here (PDF). Please read through it and let us know your thoughts by calling us, emailing us, visiting us in person, or attending one of the four upcoming meetings our office is holding on the subject in the coming weeks.
