1.   Welcome and Introductions

Mission: The Aging & Disability Commission gives voice to the diverse needs of Sonoma County’s older adults, people with disabilities, and their caregivers.

2.   Approval of the 01.08.2025 Executive Committee Minutes

The Commission will review the meeting minutes and may approve them as presented or with modifications.

3.   Public Comment and Council Member Open Forum

The public may address the Executive Committee on agenda items and on non-agenda matters. Public comments will be limited to three (3) minutes per speaker.

Note: The Executive Committee cannot take action on non-agenda items.

4.   Chair Updates

  • New Aging & Disability Commission Applicant – Action

The Committee will review and discuss an application for the vacant Commission seat.

  • Commissioners’ Participation in Commission Meetings - Action

The Committee will discuss and possibly take action on a commissioner’s participation

  • Support for Beth Steffy’s Legislative Proposal – Action

The Committee will discuss available options to support Beth Steffy’s legislative proposal that was announced at the last Commission meeting during Public Comment.

5.   Staff Updates:

  • Commission Member Analysis

Review Commission Membership from Demographic Survey and Volunteer Hours.

6.   MPA Update:

  • The Commission should be participating in MPA Action Teams
  • Expectation that the Executive Committee will hold a seat on the Oversight Committee

The Program Manager will provide updates on relevant matters for the Commission, including recent developments or upcoming events.

7.   Marg Ling Award - Action

Discussion and nomination of potential recipients for the Marg Ling Award, which honors individuals who demonstrate outstanding dedication, leadership, and service in the Aging and Disability Community.

8.   Commission Business Cards and Name Tag

The Executive Committee will discuss, create, and decide on the final layout of the new Business Cards and Name Tags. Two mockups have been created for the Committee to review as a reference point.

Standing and Ad Hoc Committee Members will provide updates on their activities, progress on assigned tasks, and recommendations or actions for the Commission.

The Committee will discuss the layout for the Showcase that will be presented at the February Commission meeting.

Discuss and clarify procedures for bringing FY 25/26 Area Plan Goals and Updates to the March Public Hearing.

12.   Role of the Advisory Council

Review the draft “The Commission’s Three Hats” document and discuss proposed updates.

The Executive Committee will review the Draft Commission Meeting Agenda and will provide feedback and/or suggest any necessary modifications and/or additions.
