We help provide access to food, medical and dental care, shelter, and other supportive services for families and individuals with low incomes, people who are unemployed or who have disabilities, and children in foster care.

Medical Coverage

Medi-Cal and County Medical Services Program (CMSP) offer free or low-cost medical and dental coverage to California residents with limited income. If your income is too high for Medi-Cal, you may be eligible to purchase an insurance plan through Covered California, and use tax credits to help pay for it.

CalFresh / EBT

CalFresh also known federally as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) provides monthly supplemental assistance for low- or no-income individuals and families to buy food. The amount received is based on the household’s size, income and allowable expenses. CalFresh is issued monthly on an Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card, similar to an ATM card, to purchase food at online retailers, grocery stores, convenience stores, farmers markets and any store that accepts EBT.

CAPI: Cash Assistance for Immigrants

CAPI provides cash benefits for eligible non-citizens in financial need who are not eligible for federal Supplement Income (SSI) due to their immigrant status. Blind or disabled non-citizens of any age, or seniors aged 65 and older may be eligible to receive CAPI.
