Friday, January 27, 2023, is the Sonoma County Point-in-Time (PIT) Street Count for all populations of person’s experiencing homelessness. The Count is a requirement for receiving federal homeless assistance funds and provides critical data used to understand homelessness locally and to support strategic decisions about our program. Request for Proposals (RFP) for the management and operation of Los Guilicos Village Non-Congregate Shelter
The Sonoma County Board of Supervisors acting as the Board of Commissioners for the Sonoma County Community Development Commission (SCCDC) is pleased to invite you to respond to this Request for Proposals (RFP) as the service provider, managing and operating the 60-unit Los Guilicos Village non-congregate shelter (NCS) at 7363 Rancho Los Guilicos Road, in Santa Rosa, California.
The Sonoma County Board of Supervisors voted today to support a five-year strategic plan to reduce homelessness, one developed by the Continuum of Care, the county’s homeless services system of care. The Continuum of Care Board approved the plan unanimously on Dec. 14, 2022.
Sonoma County’s Continuum of Care Board and its Strategic Planning Committee invites the public to provide input on a draft 2022 Homeless Strategic Plan and to learn more about the plan during a series of upcoming meetings. The Continuum of Care is a federally directed homelessness coordination system that works to ensure a regional homelessness system of care is coordinated and effective.
The Coordinated Entry System in Sonoma County has changed operators from Catholic Charities of Santa Rosa to HomeFirst, a nonprofit agency based in Santa Clara County. The change in operators was approved by the local Continuum of Care Board and took effect on April 1.
