Sonoma County Homeless Point in Time (PIT) Count 2024 Volunteer Registration Now Open! January 26th!

Friday, January 26th, 2024, is the Sonoma County Homeless Point-in-Time (PIT) Street Count for all populations of persons experiencing homelessness! We will have 5 regional deployment sites located in North County, West County, Sonoma Valley, Petaluma, and Santa Rosa; locations will be announced at a later date. We are seeking volunteers to help with the count this year and would love your support!

How to get help in Sonoma County: A Community Webinar on Homelessness (#3)

You are invited to participate in an online public forum on homelessness on Wednesday, January 31st from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. The forum will begin with a brief discussion on how to get help for homelessness, followed by an “open forum” style Q&A session. It will feature Kaitlin Carney with HomeFirst and Thai Hilton with the Sonoma County Department of Health Services Ending Homelessness Team. This is an opportunity to ask questions and to learn more about getting help for homelessness in Sonoma County.

Sonoma County Homeless Coalition FY 2024-2025 Local Homelessness Services Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) available!

The Sonoma County Department of Health Services (DHS), on behalf of the Sonoma County Homeless Coalition (previously known as the Sonoma County Continuum of Care), invites new and renewal proposals from eligible applicants for local homeless services projects in the Fiscal Year 2024-2025 Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA), also known as the “Local Homelessness Services NOFA”.

Sonoma County’s Continuum of Care seeks public input on draft Homelessness Strategic Plan

Sonoma County’s Continuum of Care Board and its Strategic Planning Committee invites the public to provide input on a draft 2022 Homeless Strategic Plan and to learn more about the plan during a series of upcoming meetings. The Continuum of Care is a federally directed homelessness coordination system that works to ensure a regional homelessness system of care is coordinated and effective.

HomeFirst to operate the Sonoma County Continuum of Care’s Coordinated Entry System

The Coordinated Entry System in Sonoma County has changed operators from Catholic Charities of Santa Rosa to HomeFirst, a nonprofit agency based in Santa Clara County. The change in operators was approved by the local Continuum of Care Board and took effect on April 1.
