This guide has been prepared to assist candidates, committees, and members of the news media in preparing for the upcoming March 5, 2024, Presidential Primary Election. It is not intended to be all-encompassing but instead summarize major laws related to candidates and committees involved in elections in Sonoma County, the State of California, and the United States.

This handbook is not meant to serve as a substitute for legal counsel. Although staff have attempted to be as careful as possible in compiling the information, it is not guaranteed to be accurate.
