Crisis Residential

Crisis Residential programs represent an alternative to psychiatric inpatient hospitalization. Sonoma County Behavioral Health, in partnership with Progress Foundation, is pleased to provide access to two 10-bed unlocked houses. Each house provides intensive 24-hour individual and group support in a home-like setting.

Harstad House and Progress Sonoma are 10 bed, unlocked, voluntary facilities for ambulatory adults experiencing a psychiatric crisis, with an average length of stay of 12 days. The programs are open all year long with qualified teams of counselors who provide services 24 hours per day. Individuals receiving crisis residential services have access to the support they need to manage their immediate behavioral health obstacles. One-to-one counseling, crisis intervention, skill-building, and twice daily therapeutic groups are part of the program structure to support individuals in their path to recovery and wellness.

All referrals are initiated through Sonoma County Behavioral Health.
