Our Access Team is the first contact to request mental health services, and can be reached at (707) 565-6900.

Community Mental Health Centers (CMHCs) provide outreach and engagement and outpatient specialty mental health treatment services to adults living in four regionally-based areas of Sonoma County:

  • Guerneville
  • Cloverdale
  • Petaluma
  • Sonoma

In addition to providing services to geographically-isolated adults with serious mental illness, CMHCs also provide services to people who are homeless and/or have co-occurring substance abuse disorder problems, and to locally underserved racially and ethnically diverse communities.

Our teams are linked to the larger adult systems of care but focus on providing services and supports in the smaller communities where they are located, and are familiar with the unique cultural issues in these areas.

Services are available through partnerships between each CMHC and community-based providers and law enforcement agencies in each city. Teams work in collaboration with the local Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs).

Funded by the Mental Health Services Act

This program receives funding through the voter-approved Mental Health Services Act (Prop. 63). MHSA funding provides a broad continuum of prevention, early intervention and services, and the necessary infrastructure, technology and training elements to effectively support our local mental health services system.
