Sonoma County assessment roll increases to $108 billion for 2022-23

Sonoma County Clerk-Recorder-Assessor Deva Marie Proto has delivered the 2022-23 Assessment Roll to the Sonoma County Auditor-Controller-Treasurer-Tax Collector’s Office. The net assessment roll has hit an all-time high of $108,331,893,661, which is an increase of 6.46 percent over last year’s assessment roll amount and reflects the value of all real and business property as of Jan. 1, 2022. Nomination period opens for Nov. 8 General Election

Candidate nominations open on Monday, July 18, for various local school, municipal and special district offices scheduled to be on the ballot on Nov. 8, 2022. Candidates residing in Sonoma County who are interested in running for any of the more than 225 available positions must file nomination papers between July 18 and Aug. 12 in order to have their names placed on the Nov. 8 ballot. Registrar of Voters announces Wednesday deadline to “cure” ballot signature issues from June primary

Sonoma County Registrar of Voters Deva Marie Proto is alerting Sonoma County voters who have been notified that their ballots in the June Primary Election were challenged due to missing or mismatched signatures that must complete and submit the appropriate signature “cure” forms to the Registrar of Voters Office by 5 p.m. on June 22. Advanced in-person voting to expand for June election

Beginning this Saturday, registered voters in Sonoma County who have not already voted in the June 7 statewide direct primary election, may vote in advance of Election Day in person at one of 31 vote centers located throughout the county. In-person voting has been available since May 28 at seven vote centers, but an additional 24 vote centers will be open from June 4 to Election Day. All vote centers will be open June 4 to June 6, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Election Day, June 7, from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Read full story

County to begin mailing ballots for June election

Vote-by-mail ballots for the June 7, 2022 statewide Primary Election will start going out in the mail on Monday, May 9, to all active, registered voters in Sonoma County, the Sonoma County Registrar of Voters announced today. Voters should expect their vote-by-mail ballots to arrive within five to 10 days after that. Read full story

County mailing voter information guides for June primary election

The Sonoma County Registrar of Voters Office, announced today that voter information guides for the upcoming June 7, 2022, statewide direct primary election, will begin going out in the mail today to all active, registered voters in Sonoma County. Those voters who have previously opted out of receiving such mailings may go to Get Your County Voter Information Guide Online: Opt In/Out form to sign up for this service. Read full story
