Planning Commission to hold hearing on draft Environmental Impact Report for Sonoma Developmental Center

The Sonoma County Planning Commission will hold a hearing and seek public feedback on the draft Environmental Impact Report and draft specific plan for the Sonoma Developmental Center on Sept. 15, 2022 at 1 p.m. The draft Environmental Impact Report evaluated a proposed specific plan for the Sonoma Developmental Center site, two lower density alternatives, and two scenarios where the county doesn’t proceed with a project in 16 key areas of the property. Board of Supervisors to hold draft Local Coastal Plan Update workshop

The Sonoma County Board of Supervisors is set to hold a workshop on Tuesday, Aug. 30 to review and seek public comment on the Planning Commission Recommended Draft of the Local Coastal Plan Update. County of Sonoma, City ofSanta Rosa Part of $415 Million Settlement to Resolve North Bay LocalGovernments 2017 Fire Claims

Today, the City of Santa Rosa and the County of Sonoma, together with seven other counties and cities, announced that they and PG&E have accepted a mediator’s proposal of $415 million to resolve the collective cities’ and counties’ North Bay Fires claims. The mediator’s proposal is exclusive of and does not affect the claims of any residents, individuals, or businesses. Read full story

OnMay 21, the Board of Supervisors approved funding and a plan to rehabilitateand preserve over 51 miles of roads in 2020 and 2021. The new two-year planincludes $24 million of general funds and $13 million of state and other localfunding for a total of $37 million. Read full story
