Sonoma County officials to hold community briefing at 6 p.m. tonight

Santa Rosa,CA | August 20, 2020

Sonoma County officials will hold a virtual community briefing today at 6 p.m. to provide updates on the County’s response to the fires and to take questions from the public.

Attendees will include state Sen. Mike McGuire, Assemblymember Jim Wood, the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors, Sonoma County Director of Emergency Management Chris Godley, Sonoma County Sheriff Mark Essick, CalFire Division Chief Ben Nicholls, Santa Rosa Fire Chief Tony Gossner and Cal Fire incident PIO Paul Lowenthal. The attendees will provide a brief update and will answer pre-submitted questions from the community.

Community members are encouraged to submit questions in advance of the briefing by emailing publicaffairs@sonoma-county.org. Spanish and American Sign Language interpretation will be available.
