Agenda
What do you want for Sonoma County in the next five years?
Sonoma County’s Strategic Plan will help shape the County’s short and long-term policies and projects for the next five years, and we are looking for your input. The final plan is expected to be adopted by the Board of Supervisors in late February 2021.
This session will focus on the Climate Action and Resiliency Pillar. Sonoma County, the nation and the world’s collective social, economic and environmental well-being are impacted by significant climate change events. By focusing on climate action and resiliency in the Strategic Plan, we can mobilize countywide efforts towards mitigating and preventing climate change.
Please join us to discuss the draft Climate Action and Resiliency goals and objectives and provide your feedback.
Climate Action and Resiliency Strategic Plan Goals:
- Make all County facilities carbon free and zero waste
- Maximize sustainability and emissions reductions in all County Fleet vehicles
- Maximize Carbon Sequestration through land conservation work and land use policies
- Invest in the community to become carbon neutral by 2030
