Introducing Andre Siedentopf: Santa Rosa Housing Hero

Congratulations to Andre Siedentopf, a native Sonoma County resident who rents out property in west Santa Rosa. Andre has been named Housing Hero for the month of January as part of an ongoing campaign to address the region’s housing shortage.

“Voucher holders are no different than anyone else,” said Siedentopf. “With a voucher tenant, you just have a lot more strength and power behind you, with the county supporting both the tenant and you as a landlord,”

Some of the benefits that Siedentopf said he has experienced from renting to Section 8 Housing Voucher recipients include always receiving the rent on time, not having to charge below market rate for his rentals and often ending up with long-term renters.
