Sonoma County to Host Virtual Town Hall on Coronavirus

Tune into local radio, TV, or Livestream stations on Tuesday, March 17 from 7:00 - 8:00 PM

Sonoma County will host a Virtual Town Hall to share information about Novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) on Tuesday, March 17, 2020, from 7:00pm – 8:00 pm on several local radio and TV stations, and livestreamed online. Supervisor Gorin (Chair, Sonoma County Board of Supervisors), Chris Godley (Director, Sonoma County Emergency Management), and Dr. Sundari Mase (Sonoma County Interim Public Health Officer) will present information and answer questions in a one-hour live news special.

Programming will air on KRCB FM radio stations 91.1 and 90.9 and on television stations KRCB Channel 22 as well as KPJK Channel 60. The program will also stream live on, KRCB’s Facebook page and Northern California Public Media YouTube.

“People have a lot of questions and concerns following reports of Sonoma County’s first community-transmitted case of Coronavirus. We are bringing together the experts ‘virtually’ to provide accurate and up-to-date information,” said Board of Supervisors Chair Susan Gorin. “Holding the meeting through radio, TV and computers allows people to participate without having to physically be in one space. These virtual gatherings keep people informed while helping avoid further spread of the virus.”

Community members are invited to submit questions prior to broadcast by emailing, Both English and Spanish speakers will be available during the live broadcast to take caller’s questions.

A Spanish-language Virtual Town Hall will also be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2020, from 5-6 p.m. on KBBF radio station, 89.1 FM.  The program will also stream live on Community members are invited to submit questions prior to broadcast by calling and leaving a message at (707) 545-8833 or by posting a question on KBBF’s Facebook page. While the speakers for the two events will be different, similar information will be shared.
