The County of Sonoma Department of Health Services (Department) is pleased to invite you to respond to a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Medical Director Services for Juvenile Institutions and Valley of the Moon Children’s Center.

Overview:

The Health Department seeks to partner with a community-based clinical healthcare organization that can provide staff to perform Medical Director services, including, but not limited to, providing medical oversight, providing direct care, reviewing and developing medical protocols, and providing training. The Department is requesting proposals from clinical healthcare organizations that maintain a focus on pediatric and adolescent care, but also encompass specialty care such as OBGYN, Medication Assisted Therapy (MAT) Services for Opiate Use Disorder and psychiatric services, to provide Medical Director Services and potentially mid-level services at Juvenile Hall, Probation Camp, and VOMCC.

Pre-Bid Conference:

An optional virtual pre-bid conference webinar will be held online via Zoom on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at 2:00 PM to answer questions regarding the RFP specifications and process.

Proposers are required to submit any and all questions in writing per the schedule in order for staff to prepare written responses. Written responses will be shared with all potential proposers through an addendum on the County’s Supplier Portal. Living Wage:

The living wage rate required under the County’s Living Wage Ordinance (LWO) has increased. Effective January 1, 2024, the living wage rate required under the LWO shall be $18.10 per hour, an increase over the previous $17.65 per hour. The increase was adopted by the County’s Board of Supervisors on December 12, 2023, in accordance with Sonoma Municipal Code section 2-377(d). All covered employees must be paid at least the increased living wage rate. 

The living wage rate required under the County’s Living Wage Ordinance (LWO) will increase from $18.10 to $23.15 per hour effective July 1, 2025. The adjustment was adopted by the County’s Board of Supervisors on January 14, 2025, in accordance with Sonoma Municipal Code section 2-377(d). All covered employees must be paid at least the increased living wage rate.
