2023 Sonoma County Homeless Point-in-Time Count Volunteer Registration Now Open- January 27th !
Friday, January 27, 2023, is the Sonoma County Point-in-Time (PIT) Street Count for all populations of person’s experiencing homelessness. The Count is a requirement for receiving federal homeless assistance funds and provides critical data used to understand homelessness locally and to support strategic decisions about our program. The Sonoma County Continuum of Care (CoC) is accepting applications to become a member of the Continuum of Care.
The Sonoma County CoC addresses the problems of housing and homelessness by having a countywide, community-informed, and person-centered CoC system that is compassionate, inclusive, financially responsible, equitable, coordinated, and outcomes-based. Anyone or any entity committed to the prevention and ending of homeless is welcome in the Continuum of Care. There are no meeting requirements, dues, or fees to become a member. Sonoma County’s Continuum of Care seeks public input on draft Homelessness Strategic Plan
Sonoma County’s Continuum of Care Board and its Strategic Planning Committee invites the public to provide input on a draft 2022 Homeless Strategic Plan and to learn more about the plan during a series of upcoming meetings. The Continuum of Care is a federally directed homelessness coordination system that works to ensure a regional homelessness system of care is coordinated and effective. Read full story
