County mailing Voter Information Guides for November election

Santa Rosa,CA | September 23, 2021

County Voter Information Guides for the Nov. 2, 2021, Consolidated Election will be going out in the mail soon. This election only applies to voters residing in the City of Sonoma, Occidental Community Services District, Kenwood Fire Protection District, Sonoma Valley Health Care District or Timber Cove County Water District. Voters who do not reside in any of these districts cannot vote in this election.

The Sonoma County Registrar of Voters Deva Marie Proto reminds voters eligible to participate in the Nov. 2 election that delivery time of the nearly 25,000 booklets takes longer than regular first class mail. Voters who have not received a booklet by Oct. 8, may contact the Registrar of Voters Office at 435 Fiscal Drive in Santa Rosa, by phone at (707) 565-6800 or by email, rov-info@sonoma-county.org, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (excluding holidays). Anyone visiting the office in person should be prepared to follow county facility health guidelines such as wearing a mask.

Voters who have opted out of receiving a paper copy of the voter information guide may view it online by visiting sonomacounty.ca.gov/vote and clicking on “County Voter Information Guide” under the “November 2, 2021 Consolidated Election” heading. Alternatively, voters may go to the direct link for the voter information guide at sites.omniballot.us/06097/app/home.

Ballots will begin going out in the mail on Oct. 4. Due to a new state law in response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, all active, registered voters will automatically be mailed a ballot in this election. Polling places also will be available for voters who wish to vote in person or are in need of services such as translated materials or translation services, use of an accessible ballot-marking device or conditional (or “late”) voter registration.

Any questions about the Nov. 2 Consolidated Election should be directed to the Registrar of Voters Office.
