SIDE LETTER AGREEMENT BETWEEN 

COUNTY of SONOMA

AND

THE SONOMA COUNTY LAW ENFORCEMENT ASSOCIATION (SCLEA) 

RE: CLASS STUDY JUVENILE CORRECTIONAL COUNSELOR

May 24, 2023

 

This side letter of agreement by and between the County of Sonoma ("County") and the Sonoma County Law Enforcement Association ("Association"), hereinafter collectively called "the parties,” confirm that after completion and submission of the Class Study Request Form to Human Resources, Human Resources will conduct a classification study of the Juvenile Correctional Counselor positions to ensure the classification specifications accurately reflects the work being performed. 

The parties agree that the classification study will commence within one year of County Human Resources’ receipt of the Class Study Request Form and that the County will use the services of a classification consultant to complete the work. If a consultant is utilized, consistent with the current practice when using consultants, the work will be reviewed and approved by the County Human Resources prior to a final draft being released to the incumbents. 

The county will meet all legal meet and confer obligations with regards to classifications studies.

This side letter is subject to and will be in effect during the term of the successor MOU.
