OPEN HOUSE MARCH 19 FOR DEPARTMENT OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT 

Join the Sonoma County Department of Emergency Management to share feedback on the draft Recovery Operations Plan, designed to shape how we respond and recover from disasters and emergencies. 

Department officials will host a virtual (Zoom) Open House on Wednesday, March 19 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Community feedback is crucial in creating a recovery plan that truly supports our community.

SHERIFF’S OFFICE 2025 COMMUNITY ACADEMY SEEKS APPLICANTS 

The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office 2025 Community Academy offers an inside look at law enforcement and hands-on learning about policies, procedures and daily operations.  

This four-Saturday program runs April 26 to May 17 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Enrollment is limited to 25 participants. Please apply by March 28. Applicants must be 18 or older, live or work in Sonoma County and meet eligibility requirements.

FREE FLU VACCINE CLINIC IN PETALUMA MARCH 15 

Flu is still surging in Sonoma County and the best way to lower the risk for you and your family is to get a flu shot. Sonoma County Department of Health Services is offering free flu vaccines on Saturday, March 15 from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Café Puente, 610 E. Washington St., #C in Petaluma. 

While flu shots are recommended for everyone, they are especially important for those in regular contact with dairy cows and poultry.
