More rain, chilly temperatures forecast this weekend

This weekend’s forecast calls for light to moderate rain, winds of 30 – 40 mph and chilly temperatures. Expect overnight lows in the low-to-mid 30s through Monday morning with the possibility of snowfall in higher elevations.

With the arrival of colder weather, please remember the four Ps of cold weather protection:

  • PEOPLE: Wear layers, limit time outdoors, check heaters in advance, seek shelter if unhoused.
  • PLANTS: Cover or bring sensitive plants indoors.
  • PETS: Bring pets indoors at night and provide them with plenty of warmth.
  • PIPES: Wrap/cover exposed pipes to prevent freezing.
