Cold Weather Warming Centers Open Overnight November 20

Residents without power can warm up and charge electrical devices

Santa Rosa,CA | November 20, 2019

The County of Sonoma issued a cold weather advisory as temperatures are predicted to fall into the 30s tonight. For residents without heat due to the power shutoff, an overnight Warming Center will open at 8 p.m., allowing visitors to warm up and charge devices, such as cell phones. Unlike emergency shelters, no cots for sleeping will be provided. 

The County of Sonoma will open a Warming Center at  St. Leo’s Catholic Church, Benziger Hall, 601 Agua Caliente Rd., Sonoma, CA. 8 p.m. Wednesday (November 20) until 8 a.m. Thursday (November 21). Blankets and warm beverages will be on-hand.

No television or radios will be available, though residents may use their own devices. Pets are not allowed, however service animals are permitted.
