Alaska Airlines adds direct flights from Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport to Las Vegas
Charles M. Schulz–Sonoma County Airport today announced that Alaska Airlines will add nonstop service from Sonoma County Airport to Las Vegas. The daily, year-round flight, which starts Oct. 1, is Alaska Airlines’ seventh nonstop destination from Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport. By this fall, Alaska will operate 13 peak day departures, including nonstop service to Los Angeles, Burbank, Orange County, Seattle, Portland, San Diego and Las Vegas. Read full story
Charles M. Schulz - Sonoma County Airport to replace storm culvert, refurbish sections of pavement at regional airfield
The Sonoma County Department of Public Infrastructure today announced plans to refurbish a section of runway pavement and replace a deteriorating culvert following an annual inspection and report issued by the Federal Aviation Administration. The FAA, which has oversight of safety and operations at the regional airfield, conducts annual audits at all active airports with airline service in the United States to ensure compliance with federal safety regulations and provides a checklist of required improvements. Charles M. Schulz – Sonoma County Airport welcomes investment in local economy with new Avelo Airlines crew base
Charles M. Schulz – Sonoma County Airport today announced that Avelo Airlines on May 1 will open a crew base at the airport, which is expected to create up to 50 local jobs including pilots, flight attendants and aviation maintenance technicians. The move highlights Sonoma County’s value and importance as a destination and regional transportation hub. Charles M. Schulz — Sonoma County Airport celebrates completion of $40 million modernized air terminal
County, state and federal representatives joined officials from the Charles M. Schulz – Sonoma County Airport today to celebrate the completion of the final phase of the $40 million air terminal modernization project. The final segment features a renovated front entrance of the terminal, which has been transformed by glass paneling. Bronze statues of Charlie Brown and Linus have also returned to the front of the terminal to welcome travelers. Read full story
