Sonoma County authorizes $2 million for fourth round of vegetation management projects

Roseland development project to enter demolition phase; groundbreaking expected in 2024

The Sonoma County Board of Supervisors today authorized the county’s Community Development Commission to execute contracts to begin demolition to make way for the long-awaited Roseland Development Project, Tierra De Rosas. The demolition phase will include the installation of infrastructure for the Tierra De Rosas project and will play a critical role in the Casa Roseland Project, the affordable housing portion of the project. Public Notice: Solid Waste Management Program Local Enforcement Agency (LEA)

The Sonoma County Environmental Health Section, Solid Waste Program, acting as the Local Enforcement Agency (LEA) is certified by the Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle) to enforce state laws and regulations at solid waste sites within its jurisdiction. The Guerneville Transfer Station operates under a Solid Waste Facility Permit issued by the LEA. Read full story
