Early Notice and Public Review of a Proposed Activity in a 100-Year Floodplain County of Sonoma
This is to give notice that Sonoma County Community Development Commission (SCCDC) as the Responsible Entity and pursuant to 24 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 58, has determined that the following Proposed Project under consideration is located within a 100-year floodplain, and that the SCCDC will be identifying and evaluating practicable alternatives to locating the action in the floodplain and the potential impacts on the floodplain from the proposed action, as required by Executive Order 11988, in accordance with U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) regulations at 24 CFR 55.20 Subpart C. Board of Supervisors narrows post-storm eviction ban to just Lower Russian River
The Sonoma County Board of Supervisors today approved a temporary ban on evictions in the Lower Russian River area neighborhoods where residents were most impacted by flooding during a storm earlier this month. The Board simultaneously removed a countywide prohibition on evictions that has been in place since the supervisors ratified a proclamation of local emergency two weeks ago. The countywide prohibition on evictions will expire on March 27. Read full story
