You may email public comment to DHS-MHB@sonoma-county.org no later than five days prior to the meeting. All emailed public comments will be forwarded to all Board Members. During the meeting, if you have joined as a member of the public in the Zoom app or by calling in, there will be specific points throughout the meeting assigned to public comment.

While you may park anywhere in the lot, the most direct access is up the ramp and turn right. This is where the main entrance is located. Upon entering from this level, turn left and the meeting room is on the right, directly across from the restrooms.

    We have several applications for board membership; all have been notified of our in person requirement to be considered for our September 19, 2023 Board Meeting, and all have received emails from me with this information as well as our ByLaws.   I will be emailing all of them our Mental Health Board Meeting Agenda with location. our September Board Meeting.   4. Special Topic Presentation September:
    1. A (15) Minute presentation from the Sonoma County Indian Health Project to address California Reducing Disparities Project funded by MHSA funding through the State Office of Health Equity. Presenters will be one or two from the following:
      Todd Spath; Behavioral Health Director, Sonoma County Indian Health Project
      Carolyn Moulton; Contract Manager for Aunties and Uncles Program
      Julie Kawhara; Local evaluator for Aunties and Uncles Program
    2. Michelle Ladrech will be presenting an updated report on the MHSA budget; and will also touch on September being Suicide Prevention Month.

      Discuss Special Topic Presentation for October; Petaluma Community Center

  5. Other Reports Including CALBHB/C and Ad hoc committees; Legislative Agenda Items: PAM and Mental Health Services/Needs at Sonoma County Main Adult Detention Facility PAM (program assessment matrix) matrix and site visits.

    • Approval of Minutes for May 16, 2023, June and July Board Meetings
    • Voting on EC Committee’s agreement on requiring 6 meetings of the 10 to be attended in order to be a member of the Mental Health Board
    • Voting in Interim Chair
    • Voting in Interim Vice Chair
    • Voting in Ethics training time of 3 months from start of term date
    • Voting on violation of either attendance requirement not met, or failure to take Ethics

Training as stated above to lead to recommendation to the District Supervisor that the board member be released of his/her duties.
