Road Update - April 11, 2016

Crews responded to down trees at three locationsthis past weekend. Pothole requests, pedestrian hand rail installation, signand sight post maintenance, mowing and brushing will keep our crews busy thisweek.  One lane traffic controls mightcause minor delays on Tuesday on Roblar Road and Stewarts Point Skaggs Springs Roaddue to roadside brush removal. Road Update - April 4, 2016

Crews will be busy this week with Highway 12’s curb andgutter work, culvert replacement, and sidewalk repair in Sonoma, brush removaland tree trimming in Healdsburg, and bridge maintenance in Monte Rio, besidespothole patching and roadside mowing. This work will cause one lane trafficcontrols and possible delays in certain areas. Read full story

Road Update - March 14, 2016

Damage caused by flooding, largedown trees, several slides, and clearing obstacles kept our crews busy thisweekend. The Russian River is predicted to rise 25 feet between 1 and 2 pmtoday. Please watch for several road closures and reductions to one lanetraffic. Read full story

Road Update - March 7, 2016

Numerous down trees, landslides, and flooding keptour crews busy due to the weekend’s storms. Valley Ford Road at Highway 1 andGreen Valley Road are the only roads closed due to flooding this morning. Morerains later this week will have road crews clearing slides and trees,unclogging culverts, draining ditches, and filling potholes, as they respond tocalls received. Read full story

Thisweek’s work includes shoulder erosion repair, installing rock walls in OldSkaggs Springs Road, fixing sidewalks in Sonoma, paving in Green Valley Road, ditching inBodega Bay, culvert and storm drain cleaning with Vactor trucks, and roadsidevegetation removal. Lakeville Road’s tree work will be completed this week anddelays might still occur during the day, so alternate routes are advised. Read full story

Road Updates - February 16, 2016

As rain is forecast for tomorrow Wednesday, crewswill fill potholes, clean culverts and storm drains, run roadside mowers toopen up sight distance, and doing concrete headwall, rock shoulder, and sliderepairs. Guard rail repair along the shoulder of Stony Point Road will notaffect traffic. Cal Fire crews will keep helping with roadside vegetationclearing on Roblar and Woolsey Roads in Cotati and Healdsburg today and tomorrow. Read full story

Road Maintenance Update 1-11-16

Alternateroutes are advised on Lakeville Road between State Highways 116 and 37, southof Petaluma, as treework will take place today until 3 pm,causing delays. Road crews in Sonoma andCotati were busy this weekend responding to down trees. This rainy week,the work crews will be filling potholes, cleaning culverts and storm drains,cutting roadside vegetation, blading rock from slides and repairing guardrails. Read full story

Road Maintenance Update 12-28-15

This week projects include sanding roads to prepare for icy conditions, safety work at Lakeville Road's eucalyptus grove, pothole repair and roadside vegetation work, a Cal Fire crew on Riebli Road, culvert cleaning in the South and West county areas, storm drain work on Graton Road, guard rail repairs by the Bridge crew and sign maintenance by the Traffic crew.
