City of Petaluma, County of Sonoma and COTS announce the completion of Phase One of People’s Village Project

The City of Petaluma, in partnership with the County of Sonoma and Committee on the Shelterless (COTS), announced today the completion of the first phase of the People’s Village, a pilot interim housing program that will provide 25 individual shelters for our most vulnerable community members experiencing homelessness. Tina Rivera to be appointed director of SonomaCounty’s Department of Health Services

Tina Rivera, a veteran government official and nonprofit leader with more than 25 years of experience delivering health care and social services to the public, has been named director of the Sonoma County Department of Health Services following a nationwide recruitment search. The Sonoma County Board of Supervisors is scheduled to vote to confirm her appointment for a three-year term at its March 1 meeting. County’s Emergency Rental Assistance Program designates nearly $40 million in relief funds, pauses program temporarily

Nearly $25 million in direct assistance has beenprovided to more than 2,100 Sonoma County households through Sonoma County’sEmergency Rental Assistance Program, county officials announced today.
