"Can I have a tutor too?"

Dear County employees,

(We’re hoping to get 16 more new tutors…. If you’ve thought about joining, now’s the time!)

“Can I have a tutor too?” Teachers hear this from their students that are waiting for tutors and we invite you to join us. They’re waiting for a tutor like you to help them with their reading! We tutor the children that are stuck in the middle, who with just a little help, can succeed and become avid readers. 

Won’t you consider becoming a United Way Schools of Hope tutor? Did you know that County employees can tutor on work time through this program? In just one hour per week during the school session, you can help a child read and open them up to the road of opportunities. 

Please complete the participation form and return it to Sylvia Lemus by January 3, 2020. You will be notified to attend an orientation at the County on either January 13 or January 15, 2020.
