Don’t miss this special day!
Bring your child, nephew/niece, grandchild, or mentee to the Take Your Child to Work Day event scheduled for Thursday, June 21, 2018, from 1:00 – 3:30 p.m. at the County Center Administration. The event is open to children from the ages of 5 to 18.
About the Program
Take Your Child to Work Day is a career day that serves as an enriching educational experience for our County employees’ children, not only exposing them to what the adults in their lives do during the work day, but showing them the potential value of their education, and providing an opportunity to envision their future.
The Purpose
The County Administrator’s Office approved this new program, County-wide, to serve as an enriching day to expose children to careers and to their parent or mentors work place.
This program will give children first-hand knowledge of the different careers and services provided by our departments and divisions. Children will learn how County employees’ work is aligned with the County’s strategic goals. They will hear from our County leaders, professionals, and will be able to see and experience many of the County’s programs by hands-on and interactive activities.
Snacks and a commemorative gift will also be provided to your child.
