Individual with shoulder length hair and nose piercedCecilia Sofranko is a Sonoma County raised organizer and diverse artist who is deeply committed to advancing human rights and social justice. Their multifaceted experience spans events coordination and promotion, teaching, caregiving, and mutual aid initiatives. 

 

Cecilia’s local advocacy work includes volunteering with the North Bay Organizing Project, fundraising for our community's relatives in Gaza, and supporting a wide variety of grassroots efforts. They have a rich history of working with youth, from years of providing childcare to teaching high school art and serving as an advisor and mentor to teens. Drawing on their background in performing arts and understanding of neurodiversity, they infuse creativity and inclusivity into their work, fostering spaces for expression and care.

 

Currently, Cecilia oversees two small businesses and serves as a mentor for transgender youth. They are particularly passionate about disability rights and ensuring the safety and inclusion of all LGBTQIA2S+ individuals, as well as fighting against systemic racism. Their commitment to human rights is emphasized in their approach to all aspects of life.
