Fear and anxiety levels in our community have again peaked regarding Acting Secretary of Homeland Security Elaine Duke’s recent issuance of a memorandum rescinding the Federal Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals Program (DACA), a federal program designed to protect young, undocumented immigrants who were brought to the United States as children from deportation, and to provide them with authorization to work in the United States.

DACA Renewal Information
- At the recommendation of the Board of Supervisors, the Sonoma County Secure Families Fund will be providing partial scholarships to assist those eligible for DACA renewal. Approved applicants will be reimbursed $250 for DACA Renewal Fees.
Secure Families Fund DACA Renewal Scholarship Form (PDF: 133 kB) - A number of additional organizations are providing assistance with renewal fees, including California Human Development, who can cover 100% of fees for qualified applicants.
