Fraudulent FEMA Inspections and False FEMA Claims

Sonoma County and Napa have receivedcomplaints of persons identifying themselves as “FEMA inspectors” coming toresident’s homes and asking for personal information. Reports have also beenreceived that false FEMA claims have been filed using resident’s personalinformation such as social security numbers and when the resident attempts tofile for aid they are advised an application has already been filed under theirname. Cannabis Tax Deadline Extension

The Sonoma County Board of Supervisors approved the waiving of delinquency penalties for all commercial cannabis cultivation until November 17, 2017, or November 30, 2017 for commercial cannabis cultivation located within a mandatory evacuation zone. Read full story

Westside Park Boat Launch Reopens

Westside Park Boat Launch has reopened following work to improve low tide launch access and comply with regulatory permit conditions. The work consisted of resetting the concrete boat ramp panels, and extending the ramp down an additional 4 feet in order to improve access during low tide. The boat launch is now open and ready for recreational crab season. Read full story

The Board of Supervisors approved funding and a plan for resurfacing 82 miles of roads in 2018 and 2019 at its September 26, 2017 meeting.
