      Calendar Items:

    2. Definition of “Land Use” and Staff Update on Moscow Road Repairs
      "Land use” is the term used to describe the management of land for beneficial use and the regulatory framework that prescribes permissible use.
    3. Updates on Permits and Projects of Interest
      1. PLP18-0012 Lok Hotel Project. (AKA Guernewood Park Hotel Project) Planner: Alexandra Sullivan/Georgia McDaniel McDaniel@sonoma-county.org, 707-565-4919  The Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration (IS/MND) will be recirculated for a second time on Friday, February 3, 2023 through March 6, 2023.  This is due to the addition of mitigation measures required by the California Department of Fish and Wildlife as stated in the CDFW letter, dated November 29, 2022, submitted in response to the first recirculation of the IS/MND, November 2, 2022 through December 2, 2022, due to applicant changes to the project.
    4. Overview of Housing Element
      Scott Orr or Ross Markey from Permit Sonoma Planning Department
      The Housing Element draft Environmental Impact Report can be viewed online on the Housing Element Update webpage. This is an opportunity for county residents to examine and comment on the draft Environmental Impact Report during the 45-day public comment period. Written comments may be submitted by 11:59 p.m. on Feb. 13, 2023. Comments may be sent via email to PermitSonoma-Housing@sonoma-county.org or by regular mail to Permit Sonoma, Attn: Eric Gage, 2550 Ventura Ave., Santa Rosa, California 95403.

Agenda Comments: The Chair will invite public comment for agenda items as they are taken up by the Committee. If you wish to speak, you may do so upon receiving recognition by the Chair. Please state your name and limit your comments to the agenda item under discussion. Speakers are limited to three minutes each; available time for comments is determined by the Committee Chair based on agenda scheduling demand and total number of speakers.

Public Comments on Items not on the Agenda: At any Regular Meeting, any member of the public may address the Committee on a matter not listed on the agenda as long as the subject matter is within the jurisdiction of the Committee. If you wish to speak, you may do so upon recognition by the Committee Chair. While members of the public are welcome to address the Committee, under the Brown Act open meeting laws, Committee members may not deliberate or take action on items not on the agenda. Speakers are limited to two minutes each; available time for comments is determined by the Committee Chair based on agenda scheduling demands and total number of speakers.
