Bloodborne Pathogens

Bloodborne Pathogen Training for Employees

Many workers make the mistake of thinking that only healthcare providers are at risk from bloodborne pathogens exposure, but almost all employees in the workforce can be exposed to these dangerous microorganisms that can cause serious diseases. Employees must go through bloodborne pathogen training in order to receive their OSHA certificate. Workers must be well versed in the universal precautions of the OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard 1910.1030 and know how to respond to exposure situations using the exposure control plan. This training video highlights the hazards of bloodborne pathogens and covers OSHA regulations regarding bloodborne pathogens.

Hang Up & Drive: The Jacy Good Story

This dynamic program features Jacy Good and her fiancee Steve recalling the tragic crash that killed her parents as a result of another driver using his cell phone. In May 2008, Jacy and her parents were enjoying a great day of accomplishment...Jacy's college graduation. That day was shattered, however, when a devastating collision took the lives of Jacy's parents and left her in a coma. Her brain injury has left her with physical, speech, and cognitive impairments, but Jacy's story is an inspiration. Fire Extinguishers: How and When

This program stresses to viewers the importance of making the right decisions when a workplace fire breaks out. Hearing Conservation

Respiratory Protection

Crystalline Silica Employee Training

Crystalline silica is a naturally occurring substance used in a wide variety of industries and construction operations.  It is also a common additive in food and pharmaceutical applications. While silica has many valuable uses, it can also present a danger when workers are exposed to excessive amounts of crystalline silica dust.  In fact, each year there are hundreds of deaths and thousands of illnesses attributed to harmful exposures to silica dust.  To prevent these types of harmful exposures, OSHA has developed regulations for general industry, maritime operations and the construction industry.

Respirators: Your Tuberculosis Defense

Two training videos to help protect health care employees from the risk of job-related tuberculosis infection are available together in one package (Pub. No. 2002-114D) from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) as NIOSH's first health and safety training resource in DVD format.
