Map One Sonoma

Map One Sonoma logoCounty of Sonoma recognizes and celebrates our role in unseating racial inequities throughout our shared communities. In support of our Racial Equity and Social Justice pillar as part of our recently approved five-year strategic plan, we are making every effort to normalize, organize, and operationalize in new ways that help ensure we serve our workforce as well as the larger Sonoma County community through the lens of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).

That’s why County of Sonoma through the 2021 Combined Fund Drive is inviting you to designate all or part of your pledge to one or more of United Way’s Community Investment Funds. In doing so, your donations are awarded as annual grants to help fund community projects and programs that foster a prosperous, resilient, inclusive, and sustainable Sonoma County where everyone has an opportunity to thrive. United Way has designed its grant-making process to engage community members who experience institutional marginalization at the decision-making level.  By ensuring that those lived experiences are prioritized and valued, United Way has structured its process to prioritize grant opportunities for local nonprofits that advance racial equity.

The Office of Equity invites you to support United Way’s Map One Sonoma, which awards grants that address critical community issues, including improvements in worker pay, available jobs, affordable childcare, and equity in education along with sustainable housing solutions and climate adaptations.
