Board of Supervisors approves pavement rehabilitation project at Charles M. Schulz – Sonoma County Airport
The Board of Supervisors today approved $5.7 million of funding from the Federal Aviation Administration to reconstruct and expand Apron C at Charles M. Schulz – Sonoma County Airport where commercial aircraft park, load and unload, refuel and undergo maintenance. Read full story

Public invited to share input as Board of Supervisors sets 2025 agenda during January 10 meeting in Sebastopol
The public is invited to offer input on Friday, January 10, when the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors will hold a special board meeting. The meeting will include a discussion of “2025 Calendar Items of Significant Interest,” and will be held at the Sebastopol Center for the Arts beginning at 9 a.m. Read full story
Probation Staff Participated in Shop with a Cop with R-Hoops
On Saturday, December 14, 2024, we had the privilege of participating in R-Hoops 3rd Annual “Shop with a Cop” event at Dick’s Sporting Goods in Santa Rosa. Ten kids from the Sonoma County Deputy Sheriffs’ Association Basketball program attended the event. Each athlete was paired with an officer. Patrol Deputies, Correctional Deputies, and Community Service Officers from the Sheriff’s Office attended, and we were fortunate to send Deputy Probation Officer, Heidi Olvera, from our Adult Division to represent the Probation Department. RFP for Therapeutic Foster Care Services
The County of Sonoma is pleased to invite interested parties to respond to a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Therapeutic Foster Care services. The Department is seeking proposals from licensed Foster Family Agencies (FFAs) to provide, facilitate, and oversee Therapeutic Foster Care (TFC) services. TFC is a short-term, intensive, highly coordinated, trauma- informed, and individualized intervention for children or youth with complex emotional and behavioral needs. Read full story
