Avelo Airlines Adds New Nonstop Service to Palm Springs from the North Bay Area
Avelo Airlines announced today new nonstop service to Palm Springs, California from the North Bay Area’s Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport (STS). Avelo will fly this route twice weekly on Fridays and Mondays beginning on November 11.

Charles M. Schulz - Sonoma County Airport set to perform storm culvert and runway upgrades on June 24
The Charles M. Schulz - Sonoma County Airport will refurbish a section of runway pavement and replace a deteriorating culvert on Monday, June 24. The work will be completed over 20 hours including nighttime work and is expected to cost $667,115. The permanent repair project is being coordinated with the Federal Aviation Administration, which has oversight of safety and operations at the regional airfield, to mitigate any possible impacts to the traveling public.

The Charles M. Schulz–Sonoma County Airport was ranked fourth among the top 10 winners of the 2024 Newsweek Readers' Choice Awards contest for best small airport in the United States. A total of 15 airports were nominated by a panel of travel experts and Newsweek contributors. The final list was determined by Newsweek editors and votes were cast over the past month by the magazine’s readers.
