NOAA weather radio emergency alert test Friday
The County of Sonoma and the National Weather Service Bay Area are conducting an emergency alert test of NOAA weather radios on Friday, April 29, at noon. The test will be countywide for residents who own a NOAA weather radio. After the test, participants are encouraged to provide feedback on whether or not the test message was received by their radio. Guerneville Man Sentenced to Maximum Term in Prison for Assaulting an Elderly Victim
Defendant David Bowen Farwell, 35 years old of Guerneville, was sentenced yesterday in Sonoma County Superior Court by the Honorable Bradford DeMeo to serve eight years in state prison after being found guilty by a jury in February of assaulting an elderly victim. Read full story

County of Sonoma Board of Supervisors to hold annual budget workshops April 25 to April 27
The Sonoma County Board of Supervisors will hold its annual budget workshops on April 25, 26 and 27 to provide county residents and taxpayers an opportunity to learn about the 2022-2023 fiscal year preliminary spending plan and provide input to the Board before it adopts a final budget in June. Annual Meeting About Habitat Projects that Benefit Threatened Fish in the Russian River Watershed
On Wednesday, May 4, 2022 the Public Policy Facilitating Committee (PPFC) will host its annual meeting to receive reports and presentations on various projects designed to help restore endangered and threatened fish to the Russian River watershed, while maintaining the region’s primary water supply. Sonoma County outlines timeline for updating land-use policies through General Plan
Sonoma County today embarked upon a comprehensive overhaul of its General Plan, a more than eight-year initiative that will shape development, conservation and land-use policies in unincorporated areas for a generation.
