Heat Notification: Tips to Stay Cool as Temperatures Rise
The National Weather Service is forecasting hot temperatures throughout the state and in Sonoma County over the next few days. The hottest weather will be on Friday, June 22, 2018 and Saturday, June 23, 2018. Inland temperatures are expected to reach the upper 90s and low 100s while temperatures closer to the coast will remain milder. Read full story
Sonoma County Coalition is Opening Doors for LGBTQI Older Adults
During National Pride Month, it’s important to remember the history of why we celebrate gains for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning and intersex (LGBTQI) people. Many LGBTQI older adults grew up during a time when to love someone of the same gender was considered a crime, mental illness or a sin. Joe Rodota Trail Section Reopened to Cyclists, Pedestrians
Sonoma CountyRegional Parks on Tuesday, 6/5, reopened the Joe Rodota Trail between Dutton andRoseland avenues after completing a multi-day cleanup of an illegal homelessencampment. The trail was closed May 30 to allow the county of Sonoma and cityof Santa Rosa to reestablish a safe and clean trail for pedestrians andcyclists. During the closure, approximately 100 illegal campers were notifiedof the need to move, with the last occupants leaving June 1. Read full story
Frances Farias Sentenced to Four Years in Prison for Theft from Oakmont Management Group, LLC
