Local Assistance Centers to Open in Guerneville and Healdsburg

Residents affected bythe Walbridge and Meyers fires can access recovery services and resources attwo Local Assistance Centers (LACs) beginning Saturday, Aug. 29.  Both LACs will provide the same resources toresidents, including assistance with replacing documents (such as driverslicenses, identification cards and vital records), accessing financialresources, rebuilding information and the insurance claims process. Non-profitswill be on-hand to assist with resource coordination but will not be issuinggift cards. Read full story

Re-entry materials, supplies for residents returning to burn areas

Residents returning to areas burned in the Meyers and Walbridge fires should stop at controlled entry checkpoints (called Commodity Points of Distribution or CPODs) operated by the County of Sonoma to receive critical safety information and equipment.
