SCEIP Financing
The Sonoma County Energy Independence Program (SCEIP) offers property improvement financing for residential and commercial properties located in Sonoma County. With no money down and an easy qualification process, we offer a simple way to finance energy efficiency, solar and battery storage, electric vehicle charging stations, water conservation, seismic strengthening, and wildfire safety improvements.
About SCEIP Financing
The Sonoma County Board of Supervisors authorized the creation of the Sonoma County Energy Independence Program (SCEIP) in March 2009. As a county-administered, public service program, it provides PACE (Property Assessed Clean Energy) financing services and related resources community-wide, without profit. The program has provided over 110 million dollars in financing to Sonoma County property owners to date.
In 2019-20, the program expanded to include seismic strengthening and wildfire safety improvements. This provides a universal, countywide financing option to achieve local energy independence and community resiliency. These objectives are achieved through the comprehensive education, consultation, and resource provisions delivered through the Energy and Sustainability Division. The SCEIP financing product is a key element in service delivery to meet County climate and resiliency goals through building upgrades to be more durable, healthy, resilient, and efficient.
