Sonoma County is confronting a common issue: aging building infrastructure and the deterioration of the essential systems that support it. Energy and Sustainability is committed to assisting Public Agencies, K-12 Schools, Special Districts, and Small to Medium Businesses in the county by connecting them with resources to modernize these aging systems. 

Programs like “GK-12” have enabled public agencies to replace outdated gas storage water heaters with low- to no-cost heat pump water heaters. Similarly, PG&E’s Sustainable Solutions Turnkey Program has helped some of Sonoma County's largest utility customers secure project procurement and financing, addressing deferred maintenance projects that previously lacked funding.
