Medical

As an Extra Help Employee at the County of Sonoma, you may be eligible to enroll in Medical coverage. To be eligible you must generally be scheduled to work at least 40 hours per pay period and have worked at least 80 hours in the last 2 pay periods.

The County will contribute up to $400 per month toward the medical premium. Contributions will be determined per pay period based on the number of hours worked. Premiums are deducted on the first two paychecks of the month. Extra Help employees who work 40 or more hours in the pay period will receive the full $200 per pay period contribution. The contribution will be prorated for hours worked between 20 and 40 hours each pay period. Extra Help employees who work less than 20 hours in the pay period will be responsible for the full premium.  

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

As an Extra Help employee, you have been enrolled in the Employee Assistance Program (EAP), at no cost to you. EAP is a confidential service that provides information, guidance and support, with up to six free sessions per situation, to help you and your family reach your personal and professional goals, manage daily stresses and develop fulfilling relationships.
