Call to order 4:07 pm
The September 19, 2018 Historical Records Commission minutes were approved.
Records Retention Schedule - CAO, Clerk of the Board
1. Retention Schedule was approved on a 4-0-1 vote
Budget Discussion
1. No updates
Strategic Planning
1. Discussions about Archives between Library Administration and Commission
2. Library is taking the Preservation Report to the Library Commission to educate the Commissioners
  1. Possibly presented at the November 5^th Library Commission Meeting
    - Meeting held in Santa Rosa City Hall
3. Library has slight surplus of funds for Archives
  1. Hoping to get consultant to look at the Archives
  2. Will get direction from Library Commission
  3. Could get a Request for Information out in the fall
4. Still have 2 vacancies on the Library Commission
5. Draft Fact Sheet being put together
  1. Would need to be ready 1 week in advance of the Commission meeting
6. Ms. Vantrease will work with Commissioner Rinehart on the November 5^th meeting
7. Commissioners will discuss Task List at next meeting
Finding History Day
1. No Updates
Historical Records Commission Brochure
1. Secretary Proto provided draft brochure to Commissioners to review
2. Commissioners will send feedback and suggested pictures
3. Historical Records Commission could print on nicer paper
4. Initial feedback - add website, meeting schedule, educational designations
Meeting adjourned at 5:03 pm. Due to time constraints, further agenda items will be heard at the next meeting.
